New CD!

There it is: the latest Album of the Priestband: God Has a Heart! We´ve been working hard on this album. There´s more of it: more songs, more variety, more languages and definitely more rock! But what didn’t change is the sound. It’s clearly the Priestband! Neither did our mission change. As priests we want to bring people to God and God to people through the means of music.

The CD will be available in Altötting during the summer forum and, of course, in Madrid during the live concerts of the band! Don't miss it!!!

New Weblog by Father Marc

Father Marc keeps a webblog on this website with the lastest news from Madrid! Just like he did in Sydney...

Priestband

The PriestBand is a rockband of seven (previously six) priests. The band is only active during the World Youth Days. In Sydney the PriestBand performed just after the Saturday evening Vigil with the pope. An audience of 235.000 young people! Before, during the WYD in Cologne, they played at a smaller meeting with the youth and the Pope.

CDs

In 2005 they produced their first album: We sing for Jesus. The priests compose all the songs themselves in different styles: jazz, rock, blues and close harmony. For the Sydney WYD a new CD is available: Rock my soul. To order this cd, please send an e-mail with your name and address to priestband@emmanuelnederland.nl

Priests

All the members are priest and member of the International Emmanuel Community. That's why these priests from six different countries can meet and share their musical talent in this challenging project called PriestBand.

Main occupation

Although most of the members have a (professional) musical background, their main occupation is a priestly ministry in their respective countries and diocees. They are parish priest, dean, parish vicar, professor of theology or preparing a doctorate. Sharing, however, the same desire to proclaim the Gospel of Gods mercy, revealed in Jesus Christ, His Son.
